The Berger Institute for Work, Family, and Children at Claremont McKenna College is a leading source of research on significant issues impacting the intersection of work and family. The Berger Institute hosted a Living Room Conversation on issues so many of us face as we navigate work and family. The Institute is launching new research on the decision to opt out or stay in the workforce and the impact of elder care on families and careers. The Living Room Conversation was a panel discussion aimed at promoting lively conversation on these topics. The experiences and insights that were shared will help shape the direction of our research, which in turn will inform public policy and workplace practices that benefit both families and employers.
